What age groups can attend PCNS?
We enroll children aged 2½ to 5 years old. We can take up to 5 children at 2 years 3 months, after approval by the Director.
What are your hours of operation?
Our classes run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with various options for extended day.
What is the student-to-teacher ratio?
Our student-to-teacher ratio is 10-1, ensuring personalized attention for each child.
What curriculum do you follow?
We follow a play-based curriculum that incorporates Christian values with early childhood education principles. We base our learning objectives on the NJ Learning Standards for Early Childhood Education. We believe in elevating children’s self esteem, self confidence and independence. What makes your nursery school unique?
Our unique blend of faith-based education, experienced staff, and a nurturing environment sets us apart. We focus on the holistic development of each child, fostering a love for learning and strong moral values. We develop close bonds with all of our families. Are you licensed by the state?
Yes, we are licensed by the state of New Jersey, Department of Children and Families.
What safety measures are in place?
We have secure entry systems, regular safety and fire drills. All staff are trained in first aid and CPR.
Do you offer meals or snacks?
We provide healthy snacks during the day and at the after care program. Parents provide lunches for students.
Is there a nap time during the day?
Yes, a short quiet or rest time is included in the Stay and Play program.
What are the tuition fees?

Do you offer financial aid or scholarships?
Yes, we have financial aid options available for qualifying families. We are a proud partner of Preschool Advantage: a non-profit group that supports families in need of assistance paying for preschool. Contact them here.
How do you handle discipline?
We use positive guidance and redirection techniques. We talk things through with the children which teaches children self-regulation and problem-solving skills.
Are parents allowed to visit the school?
Yes, parents are welcome to visit. We have an open door policy. We also encourage involvement through various school events and volunteer opportunities.
What qualifications do your teachers have?
Our teachers are certified in early childhood education and have extensive experience in nurturing young children. Our staff continues to attend a minimum of 12 hours of professional development each school year. Click here to meet our team.
How do you handle children with allergies or medical conditions?
We have protocols in place for managing allergies and medical conditions. Please inform us of any specific needs your child has. We are not a nut-free school.
What kind of activities do you offer?
We offer a variety of activities including arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, yoga, storytime, and age-appropriate educational games.
How do you communicate with parents?
We communicate through daily, weekly classroom messaging as well as monthly newsletters via our schoolwide app Brightwheel. We provide parent/teacher conferences twice during the school year.
Do you accommodate children with special needs?
We strive to accommodate all children and provide an inclusive environment, working closely with families. Please discuss your child's specific needs with us.
What is your policy on sick children?
Children with contagious illnesses must stay home. We follow all health guidelines outlined by the Department of Children and Families Manual of Requirements for Child Care to ensure the well-being of all students.
