VOCABULARY GROWTH

Four and five year olds continue to develop a growing vocabulary with more complex sentences, and can describe recent events or stories.

Pinwheel Kids

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

This age group masters the task of responsibility for personal belongings and understands the concept of multi-step tasks. Listening to directions in large and small group activities is another important skill they gain.

Playing with Wooden Toys

SELF EXPRESSION

Four and five year olds will begin to express creativity through various forms, such as drawing, singing, or building with blocks.

The Presbyterian Church Nursery School follows a unique play-based curriculum that incorporates Christian values with early childhood education principles. Our learning objectives are based on the NJ Learning Standards for Early Childhood Education.

PRE-K

Preparing for Kindergarten and Beyond

Here is where we set the stage for a smooth transition to kindergarten and inspire a lifelong love of learning! Our Pre-K program is filled with engaging activities that spark curiosity and foster critical thinking. Through hands-on experiences, creative projects, and interactive lessons, we encourage children to explore new ideas, solve problems, and express themselves in meaningful ways. Our program also places a strong emphasis on developing social skills, helping children learn to work together, communicate effectively, and build lasting friendships.
